I’ve uploaded a new version of my object libraries – 20171022 – as an interim release. There are a bunch of new objects in there, which I’ve told people I’d release a long time ago, but I’d rather wait until I’ve corrected some outstanding issues with some models before doing a full new version. That’ll come with at least one airfield, hopefully two airfields and I’ll update the “All-in-One” files at that point as well.
The files can be downloaded via Flight Simulator, Scenery Object Libraries, IJP FSX Object Libraries, on the top menu bar.
It’s a question that’s been asked a number of times by people, seeing as it’s been months and or years since I was actively releasing/updating stuff, so this blog post is an attempt to explain where things are and what’s happening with my scenery.
It went a bit quiet again, but once more it was actually for a reasonable reason… Mainly that my health took another nosedive, as it tends to. I’m on a double dose of one of my medicines for a while.
Anyway, I haven’t been completely idle, it’s just taken me lot longer to do things and one of the things that’s had some fixes and a lick of paint is the FlaK38 “Flakvierling” that sits on most of my Luftwaffe airfields.
See that image? That’s something that I see way too much of: Yet another attempt at an AO (Ambient Occlusion) render in Blender, as I discover another problem in the mesh that didn’t become obvious until I asked the render engine to throw light at it. This one? That’s a 507/23 Barrack Block (or “Building 116 at Tangmere” for those who know it…) that I’ve been trying to do for weeks. See those black faces on the right hand window? They’re reversed polygons, which I’ve flipped, which is why the render is running again… and again… and, oh for goodness sakes, this takes ages! Continue reading “AO, AO, It’s back to the start we go…”
Yes, I finally got around to updating the All-in-One downloads as well.
These are the scenery libraries that I have created or use and a dump of all my scenery files, regardless of what state they’re in. Some of them are finished, some aren’t, some never will be… They can be found by visiting the “All in One Downloads” link under Flight Simulation on the top menu.
It’s been very quiet from me the last few months. I know. Sorry. As per the previous post, winter is not kind to my anatomy. However, I haven’t been entirely idle.
I’ve just uploaded a beta version of RAF Ballykelly (hybrid modern layout) in case anyone wants to take a look at it. The current download is quite large, but that’s because it’s got my latest scenery libraries in it too, for no better reason than I couldn’t be bothered to separate out the ones used by Ballykelly so far.
