This airbase, set at Al Bardi in Lybia, was created after reading an in-depth history of the fighting surrounding Tobruk during the middle part of World War II. It was always fictional, as I could find no information as to where the Luftwaffe units were stationed when the Afrika Corps retook Al Bardi, but I have recently discovered information that makes it more so – the aircraft were almost certainly based out of the captured RAF bases at Gambit/Gambut- until Canadian forces took those back and they reverted to RAF control. Although RAF Gambit only changed hands once, the town of Al Bardi swapped control on a fairly regular basis.
Nevertheless, this one is made and has been for some time, so I might as well make it available as a stand-alone download. The base is set up with three sand runways and plenty of parking spots for fighter-sized aircraft (up to the Ju-87 Stuka). Two parking spots are provided for larger aircraft, such as the Ju52/3M transport or a He111 bomber.
