Beta Airfield Pages added…

Posted on 26th December 2016 by IanP

I’ve added individual airfield pages for the three sceneries that are currently in development, linking to versions of them as they stand. These airfields are Ballykelly, Banff and Peterhead.

All three airfields require the IJP libraries version “20161226” or later, which can be downloaded from the “Scenery Libraries” section of this website.

Still here… Honest!

Posted on 23rd December 201623rd December 2016 by IanP

It’s been very quiet from me the last few months. I know. Sorry. As per the previous post, winter is not kind to my anatomy. However, I haven’t been entirely idle.

I’ve just uploaded a beta version of RAF Ballykelly (hybrid modern layout) in case anyone wants to take a look at it. The current download is quite large, but that’s because it’s got my latest scenery libraries in it too, for no better reason than I couldn’t be bothered to separate out the ones used by Ballykelly so far.

The Changing of the Seasons…

Posted on 21st October 2016 by IanP

One of the significant downsides of the back muscle spasms that I suffer from is that cold and wet weather makes them significantly worse. Hello Autumn in Britain, you’re cold, damp and miserable. Actually it hasn’t been that damp and miserable so far, but the cooler temperatures are very literally a pain in the back and side. So things have slowed down. Sorry. They haven’t stopped, though.

The WiP versions of Banff, Peterhead and Drem are still ‘works in progress’ but have stopped for various reasons. I may release Peterhead as it is, flagged as version 0.1, if people want it. Those three now been joined by two more: Northern Ireland’s Coastal Command Ballykelly and the famous fighter field at Tangmere, near the English South Coast. Tangmere is… complicated. It’s had a lot of incarnations. So has Ballykelly, so there are a lot of options and possibilities to work through, here. If they’re usable, I may well post 0.1 versions of all of them, just to give people more runways to fly off, even if they don’t have all the technical area buildings, clutter or vehicles. What do people think?
